BIRDING SAFARIS

For keen bird watchers, the Southern African region is host to some 950 different birds of which about 160 are Endemic. The Southern African Region boasts some special endemics often in remote corners and these opportunities can be combined with spectacular game-watching or fly fishing; virtually everything is possible in Africa.

  • Fish eagle soaring just above water about to grab a fish
  • Three Bateleur perching on a branch with blue sky behind
  • Pels Fishing Owl in full flight with small prey in it's claws

Once again, you are spoiled for choice; is your goal quantity or quality; there are specific clusters of opportunity in places such as the North of Namibia, the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, Central Mozambique, Kenya and the North East of South Africa to name but a few.

Some of the areas are remote and without tourist infrastructure, others are serviced by outstanding lodges and other forms of accommodation.

Once John understands your particular birding and accommodation interests, he'll put together an unforgettable trip that'll take your birding to the next level.

How far do you wish to push the limits?
